Typical rally style hey! Imagine trying to get a Metro 6R4 to go over 130! (all the plastic panals would fly off!) Lancia Integrale still 'brick' shaped. I think with the 206 WRC and Focus they are getting aerodynmic for higher speeds. But remember rally cars are made to go sideways and take the biggest hammering ever from all angles....

I often question many people when they talk about top speeds and then get them a passenger ride in a well sorted rally car and although they might only hit 120 MPH max, the way they travelled in the rally car makes em speechless.

Eddie irvine recently got a passenger run with Colin McRae in his focus and Eddie came out and said it was better than sex! Not to say sex aint good, but he would know all about fast cars and the best women! LOL...

So did anyone get a 250 MPH skyline? Any specs of the whole car? Its interesting to know.

So who owns these lemon skylines now?

Possibly a daft question, but when you are flat out full speed in a turbo charged car, are the turbos giving any boost at all?
How is it all set with the ecu?

Deano on this forum owns one of the Lemon cars.

And yes, the turbos are giving full boost when flat out in most turbo cars, unless you got poorly specced turbos so at high revs the engine is consuming more than the turbos can give, so the boost drops, but not by much usually.

Some cars are mapped to have lower boost at really high revs, but ones made for big power wont have any significant drop.

About high speed being " no fun" and acceleration being better, well try accelerating from even 150mph in a VERY powerful car, trust me, you still accelerate VERY hard, harder than most cars will at 50, so yes, providing you got the right car, its fun.

Yea, that car belongs to Deano now.

And with mega power you CAN have it all.

Even with 750odd bhp in a skyline you can have mid 10sec 1/4s and over 200mph GENUINE, within only 1.5miles from a standing start.

Beaing in mind the maximum sorta power is around 1400bhp from the RB26, 750bhp isnt exactly mega stressed

Right to clear things up as no ones actually stated the current top speed world record :eek:

It belongs to the JUN HYPER LEMON which at the Bonneville Salt Flats reached a speed of 383.8 km/h which is some 234+ MPH :smokin:

Top Speed...

I've done a constant 209 mph in my car as shown on my GPS speedo. Could have gone faster as I was only at 1.6 bar. Aim to crack 215 mph at the next outing @ 1.9 bar.

Car's geared for 218 mph.

Yes the acceleration is awesome and it is nice and stable at very high speeds. :D As deano will soon be finding out for himself.

Yes, they are called the R1, R2 and R3.

The R1 was a 32 built in 94 for circuit racing (I think)
the R2 was 96 (the one I've driven :D and Deano owns:mad: )
And the R3 which we've already talked about wgich was a top speed challenge car.

Actually I think theres 4

JUN have 2 official R33`s

The HYPER which holds the top speed and they have a SUPER which was built for street/drag application , and then they built my car for the 98 tokyo auto salon based on their drag car hence there are actually 2 SUPER lemons ;)

HA HA HA, Yeah didn't you know you are driving a fake? and a fake thats probably only got 500bhp. Well thats just what I got told on here. Anyone would think that we couldn't tell the difference between 500 and 1000bhp.

Oh well what can I say Im just a big faker :p ;) :D and what do you mean 500BHP ???? Surely its only a standard engine with a fancy bodykit and bright yellow paint :smokin:
