Just thought I'd show a picture of my overhauled subframe before I pop it back on.
A lot of work, but I think it's been worth it.

Very nice. Did you strip down and replace bushes, or just a case of scrub down and paint.

Keep thinking to do mine, but would want to replace everything, which means more ££££

I stripped it right down, only thing I didn't do was separate the bearings from the hub as both were ok.
All the bushes were ok, no wear at all, the drop links i replaced as they were so rusty i had to cut them off. I had planed to replace bushes. But didn't need to. Then stripped back everything to bear metal and painted and copper slipped all nuts and bolts.

Great job, how long did it take you to do once you had the frame out?
Longer than I planned, unfortunately I had the builders in doing my extention so didn't have full use of my garage.
So 3 months, but could do it in a couple of months depending on how much preparation you want to put in. I've always been a believer in preparation is the most important part of any restoration.
