Just had a chat with my father in law from japan, he owns a car garage and has the license to sell nearly all brands of domestic cars. One of his sellers son is a maniac about the upcoming GTR. He collects all facts, rumors and shot 1000 pics at the motorshow of the new proto.:chuckle: :bowdown1:

Sofar he wanted to go for an R34, but instead bought a V35:chuckle:
So he's now giving a deposit to paps, to get the first ordered 2008 GTR from our garage (any color tought). Wich is nice, like this I will test drive the car first, as I will be a seller too at paps garage by then . .:chuckle:

Nein mein Freund ,der neue GTR ist weder raus , noch weis man was fuern Motor drin kommt und weder weis man den Preis. Der Type wollte aber einer der ersten sein, einen zu bekommen, denn wenn der neue GTR zu bestellen sein wird, werden die Warte-Zeiten sehr lange werden fuer die Verspaeteten Bestelungen . . . . . nur ein witziger Type

An interesting article was inside a japanese magazine (can't remember the name) about luxury cars, mostly Mercs AMGs ex . . . . they talked to a former Nissan manager, who worked in the 90. on the GTR projects, and they were asking him if the new GTR is going to have the interior refinements of a Porsche or CLK DTM?
His answer was that the quality of the interior might be less good as the previous GTRs, as the production costs for the engine and technology would exceed Nissan possibilities to keep the sales price competitive . . .
So he thinks that cutting on the interior quality is the first they will do . . .
A competitive price would be, in his eyes, 40% lesser then the equal powered Porsche price tag.

That's not really a suprise Porsche compared to a Renualt powered Nissan

Where is the engine coming from or is it to be a brand new design? It better have turbos!

Well looks lick it would get the 4.0 VQ V6 Twin Turbo from the Touring Z.
NOTE: The VQ engine are 100% Nissan engines, Renault has 0% input in japanese Nissan cars, only the diesels, and EU interior applications are from Renault . . . it's the french idiots that got the VQ for their crap Velsatis and told the world after the 350Z got a V6 from them:chairshot
Even the best Renault car, the Clio Sport has a derivated Nissan SR20VE engine . .
