Posted up a while ago that I needed a new rev counter.. Well thanks to Phil69 at conz I stumbled on the thread on how to fix a rev counter.
It really works.. I resoldered all the Microchip joints on the PCB and everything is dandy now. Also of note, I didnt fully unsolder and remove the mircochip from the PCB I just heated up and reflowed the solder, adding some where needed as Nissan must have saved tried to save weight by using sod all solder
The guide is below, but as I say no need to fully remove the Microchip, or the posts holding the rev counter needle in place.
