Thought I would post this up just in case if anyone ever experiences white to grey smoke like I have.

Noticed my R32 GTR smoking few days ago which really worried me. Was white from what I thought but the more we looked at it them more it was of a dirty white colour and the odd bit of blue smoke... Also noticed a slight missfire now and then. Gave a quick call to my mate who's a wizard with cars. Spent the whole weekend checking the turbo's etc but found these to be fine. I then started to worry thinking cracked block etc... (I worry like mad maybe RB engines arent for me haha)

Anyway we whipped the spark plugs out (NGK Iridium 8's) and examined each one. Found the ceramic on No2 plug cracked in two places.

We changed the spark plug over and I couldnt believe it. No smoke whatso ever!! Has anyone else experienced anything like this before?

no but if its thick white smoke on a highly tuned single turbo its usually the turbo seals gone and oil being burnt in the exhaust
