1 way? 2 way? Mech LSD? Vis LSD?

1 .....Has anyone replaced the std open diff in the front with a real diff?

2 ....Better for the track? Turn in? Drive out?

I'm still in the process of putting the 4:375 GTS4 ratios in, and thought at the same time....Diff change?

I doubt it is a very common upgrade due to the heavy rear drive bias, and the understeer nature of the car.

For sure a 2 way would make the handling even worse, as it would induce more understeer. I would imagine the only LSD you could use that wouldn't screw up the turn in is a Torsen type.

1 or 1.5 way would be the go up front. Cusco & Quaiffe come recommended.
I've been told that a change in driving style to suit is required, but the rewards are there for the taking :)

SAU has more info if it dries up here.

If it's any help the Quaiffe ATB units are Torsen by another name (Automatic Torque Biasing or some such).

I remember people with GTIRs fitting them and finding that they reduced understeer. However that's a permanent 4WD system...

Garage Bomber has a 1.5 fitted, came with it. Give away is the clunking on full lock and/or when I have the HKS ETC running permanent 4WD.

Is it any good? Don't know as it has always had it! Certianly goes where I point it though (usually).
