[gtr_vspec]

My R33 GTR driver seat has managed to become detached on the left hand side.. appears that the metal that the seat "swivels" on has completely sheared. No idea how this has happened, as it has sheared across about 10cm.

Has anyone had this before and/or does anyone know if it's salvageable, i.e. whether it is weldable or whether there are any easy/recommended fixes?

Also, does anyone know if the backrest parts can be swapped driver/passenger?

I had that in a customers and all I done was strip it down and welded it together.

i have managed it but it depends on how badly it has distorted as well

Can you remember how to disassemble the seat? Do you take the backrest part off of the base?

Fixed

The broken bracket was completely detachable, so just took it out without having to take much of the seat apart and welded it up
