I have just found that by changing the way I buy fuel I can drastically reduce knock levels displayed on PFC. I always use Vpower but used to keep the tank "topped up" instead of running down to about 1/4 to 1/8 of a tank. Now that I drop the fuel level before adding more Vpower knock levels have gone from peaks around 40 to about 24. Presumably the older fuel looses octane levels over time. :smokin:
yes i agree also...
i have noticed this on my pfc when using old fuel after the car has stood a while the knock levels are noticebly higher than when using fresh fuel ..
tis true. if i leave my car for more than a week the knock levels can be as high as 45-52.
run the tank down completely and add some v-power, knock falls to about 24-28...
