can anyone tell me why I'm having to replace my fuel pump again,i only changed it 3 years ago,and its now gone again,its a nismo uprated pump and i don't use the car very much,maybe less than 3k in that time

Either

Dirt in the tank.

Gummed up old petrol from lack of use.

In tank filter not fitted correctly.

Faulty part.

i honestly don't know,richard fitted this pump for me,as he did the previous one,I'm just a bit peed off that i hardly use the car,and this is the second time in three years.

Yeah maybe try hard wiring with a relay?
As Andy said the fuel pump ecu tends to just go without warning.

no it hasn't been removed yet I'm waiting on a new one,(not nismo) i thought the fuel pump was regulated by my link ecu,i must admit certain things on a car puzzle me,and others I'm fine.

Unless the Link is set up to run 2 stage voltage control you have to hard wore the pump to run @ 12volts all the time.

Just needs the shielded earth wire from the fuel pump earth before it reach's the fuel pump controller
