Okay, was looking at front pipe and I found the fujitsubo front pipe interesting, but no idea why they did it.

They offer 2 version of the front pipe.

1st, our typical equal length equal diam. front pipe.

60.5mm x 2 into 76.3mm collector.

2nd, suppose to be a new design with no reason given, unequal size piping?

60.5mm / 70mm into 76.3mm collector.

What will be the difference between these 2 design?

The second one does look to flow better and faster, the join at the collector also seems to be better designed. Anyone have any idea, please let me know. I just don't understand why would they want one of the turbo to flow faster than the other?

is the shorter pipe a larger bore to the point of merging?

if so its probly to ger the same volume of air in the manifold primarys
and merging does look better on no 2 manifold

Just wondering if this will have any side effect though?

Having one turbo with less exhaust flow than the other?

Or would it not matter because both exhaust have to come out of the turbo elbow first?

I agree the 2nd one looks much better in flow. I just don't get why would you use 60.5mm for one and 70mm for another if both are coming out of a turbo elbow (said HKS) that is 60.5mm also.

I wonder if this has to do with the pipes being unequal length where they meet, it may be to speed up gasflow from one turbo and effectively equalise the two turbos with diff length pipes.

Just thinking out loud

Mark.
