So this is cool....

No need for a wastegate anymore, when the turbo gets to the desired max boost, the electric generator becomes a resistance to keep it at the level of boost required it starts to harvest energy in a capacitor/battery bank, and then the cool part, next time you come off the gas there is power there, and jump on the throttle and the generator turns into a motor and spools the turbo up!!

Supercharger/Turbo Charger/Hybrid-KERS System all in one!:popcorn:

Thats the easy part, its the batteries that are difficult.

Try getting 2 of those on the side of your engine. Those cores look very long. Hopefully now F1 are doing turbo's we'll se some innovation. Would be nice to have a large turbo with little lag.

Mechanically powered turbos are like rotex superchargers, virtually lag free.

I bet we get lots of problems the first 2 years like kers did. I think this is a good thing. Might get some good spinoff tech for our old datsons lol
