Went to the Scooby Powerstation rolling road day on saturday with a couple of other skyline owners (Polarbearit, Dirk Diggler,wrx.co.uk), and as the Scoobies finished early we had time to strap my car down, check the fuelling etc.
With roughly a 2% fuelling increase across the board (from the jap settings) the fuelling was absolutely spot on for low boost (1.1bar).

So we ran it up and my jaw hit the floor
Running 1.1 bar (with a peak to 1.2 bar as the boost came in) she made 563.5bhp flywheel and 382 lb/ft torque, but it was only run up to 7750rpm. Both torque and power were still rising dramatically ! And yes this was with airfilters on :)

The operator cut the run at this point because the scale they had been using on the dyno screen was too small. Theres a video of the dyno screen doing the rounds on the scooby list - i will find the URL . Heres the dyno sheet :

<img src="http://www.sports-imports.co.uk/forum/power.jpg">

So having proved the fuelling was good, i went for my first run on boost on the open road with Polarbearit. I was absolutely blown away. I have never been in anything as quick :)

Christ these Skyline things are addictive !!!

I can vouch for it being fantastic - and very very very very very quick. Much faster than the allegded 580+bhp car I had a deposit on!

:D:D

I'm sure on full boost and using more Revs the car will see the best part of 700bhp!

Stunning :)

Oh and it took a person sat over each wheel to keep it on the rollers ;)

Dyno

A great result, sounds like it will be a very quick car.

I hope they strapped the car down, personally I wouldn't want to run a car of anything like that power just relying on the weight of a few blokes.

Yes, sounded great, was also there to see it, well done Chris.

As for the venue and strapping the cars down, well, I was surprised, they used 2 straps on the front of the car pulling it forwards( off the front slam panel and over the lights ! ), nothing on the back or pulling the car down:eek: When they had wheel spin, the got persons to sit in the car and sprayed some sticky stuff on the rollers:(

I think that you had to have a fair old pair of bolloks to be sitting on the front as a couple of guys were, when I see them roll your car on the rollers and lash it with a couple of straps, I took a couple of steps back tbh.

Just see how much of a difference getting traction makes, your first run on the same boost was low 500's wasnt it Chris? then with 4 people holding it down it made the figures above! Just imagine how much more you may have if they straped the car down properly/ more effectively.

I think that a few others would have walked away from the rollers with better figures if they straped the cars down, every car I watched was jumping and hopping all over the place:(

I guess they had lots of cars to roll and didnt have time to strap each one down properly/ 100% effectively, my opinion of G Force has once again been boosted two fold though.

A couple of people asked if I was going to run my car and I was tempted before I see how they were running but declined afterwards.

Well done Chris, cant wait to see full boost when it comes, would suggest you get the car to G Force and put on their Dyno Dynamics Dyno to see your true power as I think it will be more.

Yeah it was a speed issue - they had 29 cars to run so they were just lashing them down on the front. If it has to go again then i'll definately get them to lash the back down - there certainly wont be as many people hanging around to load the car down on a normal day.
The first run was low 500's because the car started to bounce a little in the rollers, which was exaggerated by the torque splitter moving the power from axle to axle, so i think they cut that run at 7000rpm.
Plenty of potential if they had run the car out to 8250rpm odd. Next time !

Straps

No rear straps on a car with 500+bhp sounds like an accident waiting to happen.

Mind you last time I ran a GTR there (2 yrs ago) they didn't use any straps at all!

I certainly think the setup at G-Force is much better for holding traction and keeping the car stable. I guess the ultimate for safety and grip, is the Dynapacks at Abbey that actually bolt to all four of the hubs.

Chris- WOW and WELL DONE!

Ello mate, its Steve from chelt with the black 3dr cossie, you offered me the skyline a while back when it was still in Japan. I wanted it then but instead blown even more cash on the cossie as i wasnt 100% i could raise ALL the cash for the Skyline...

I was gutted.

Now its been RRd (AT LOW BOOST  ) im REALLY REALLY gutted i didnt get it.

Well done tho, absolutley awesome and even before it was RRd jus goin on looks n spec it was one of my fave cars ever.

Love R32s, it realy wudve been my dream car.

I was so close to popping up to powerstation to watch but as my cars interior is all over the place with a half fitted rollcage and i thought you wasnt gona run, i dint bother. Idve probably cried idve been so gutted that car isnt mine tho...

Glad for u tho mate, awesome.

U still thinking of selling or u realised a mad power R32 is like THE best thing ever and you keeping it now? Id keep it!

Well done, next time u taking it anywhere nearby, let me know eh so i can worship the thing. lol. And feel free to take me for a blast eh? My cars the most powerful (at 430ish bhp) ive ever been in, never even been in a 500bhp cossie, so a mad skyline would make me pop the for sale signs in my car in 2secondds flat.

In return i can show u how unbelivably out of control a stripped out 430bhp RWD cossie with anti-lag is! lol.

Well done again tho, i bet u still smiling now!

Cheers, Steve

Sorry Ron

Just there spectating, car was in no state to run on the rollers even if the issues above were not present:)

I was on the rollers for the last time at G Force about 2 weeks or so prior to Christmas and did improve my results as per my 'Engine dead' thread in the tuning section.

...I wonder if my results would have been better if if four people had sat on my car - it was skipping all over the place and had lost 32bhp since the last RR (I might try and dig out the other run if I can find it!)

Oh well. The ride in Chris's skyline was worth the trip! For an R32 it looks stunning - immaculate condition and very straight - it really surprised me!

I have to say even with me sat in the boot the car skipped about a bit

Dirks car looked stunning too - With the Graphics and Wheels it looks dramatic and different a regular BB R34!

certainly think you would have PB

as it is all about getting the traction down and that could be a large factor.
I have noticed that the skylines do skip about on rollers due to the G meter and the power is being moved from front to back (and even left to right in the V specs) so this can cause some slight changes to the readings.
Also other factors like air temp, cooling to the car all differ from each road and even the same road, different day!!
I would imagine yours is a 380 BHP car based on past results and the spec..

PS I recently went to a similar style rollers at diff place and basically the figure I was given at the flywheel there was nearly the same I got at the WHEELS when at Abbey and GForce...now call me cynical but 2 brand new spec state of the art rollers versus an old style push me pull me set up...I wonder which ones are right and even if the operator wanted to bring the fgures down!!! there are so many things you can do with them it is unreal...sth was defo up on that day!!
well I know what mine got on 100ks worth of abbey dyno pack and can guestimate from there to flywheel figs.

HKS adjustable pulleys
Twin Greddy TD06-20G turbos on stainless tubular manifold
Greddy fuel lines
Greddy fuel rail
Bosch high flow fuel pump (in tank)
Earls fuel couplings
720cc injectors
Aluminium radiator
3.25" custom downpipes
Greddy cat replacement pipe
Greddy BL power 4.5" exhaust, 5" tailpipe

Greddy 3 layer intercooler
Twin K&N filters
Feast oil catch can
Apexi triple plate clutch
Greddy limited slip diff
Feast modified ECU

Ive said allegedly on the 2700cc becuase the bloke i bought it from in Japan insisted that it had a 2700cc conversion, but ive got no documentary evidence of this :( I think its pretty obvious there are some internal modifications though.......

Did i mention its still for sale BTW ?!! ;)
