EBC Brakes Racing is pleased to announce a new addition to our 2-piece fully-floating brake disc range
– the SG2F005 disc for the Nissan GT-R (R35).






EBC Racing’s 2pc fully-floating rear disc for the Nissan GT-R (R35) is now available and offers several benefits over the original disc. Whereas the original rear disc uses a mild-steel bell that is heavy and prone to corrosion, EBC’s upgrade uses an all-aluminium design which reduces the weight by 3.3kg per pair of discs. Additionally, the EBC disc uses a novel 2pc hub design which allows the handbrake drum to be removed for track and drag applications, further reducing un-sprung rotational weight that has such a profound impact on vehicle driving dynamics.
Unlike the original cast iron disc ring which uses through-drilled holes that often serve as crack epicentres after prolonged hard use, EBC’s braking annulus features an SG groove pattern which increases the disc’s resistance to cracking whilst also allowing gasses to escape, preventing the onset of brake fade. EBC’s braking ring features 48-curved vanes which allow for maximum heat dissipation and each disc is handed, ensuring the vanes always run in the correct direction on either side of the car.
EBC’s SD-Drive™ bobbins are machined from stainless-steel bar so they’ll never rust, ensuring the disc continues to float freely over its usable lifetime. Best of all, when the disc becomes worn after a period of use only the outer cast iron ring need be replaced, leading to lower, long-term running costs especially for vehicles driven hard or participating in trackdays.
EBC Racing has extensively track-tested the disc on our own Nissan GT-R (R35) development vehicle to ensure the product performs to our exacting standards and is capable of withstanding even the most demanding driving conditions.
