So I've drawn a blank with Nissan London West who seem completely incapable of answering a phone, or returning messages, or even acknowledging that a potential customer even exists.

As everyone already knows, WLMG are no longer a NHPC, and so they are unable to service GT-R's and it seems that customers have been directed to NLW and they would appear to be swamped. It's a shame as my experiences with WLMG have been excellent thus far, although from what I read I know some may feel different.

I've been chatting the Litchfield's briefly but it's a proper hike from Watford and I just don't have the time to get the car there at a time that suits, plus they seem pretty booked up for weekend appointments. Kaisers is a little closer, but it's still 65 miles away.

I've also been in touch with Ben Linney who is not far from me and he suggested 'Garage D' here in Watford, but trying to search for the company name on the forums just throws up all posts with the word 'Garage' in the thread - of which there are many.

So, anyone here using 'Garage D' for R35 servicing? Any thoughts? Other local recommendations.

Autotorque is a good bet. I personally wouldn't use garage D on a GT-R. They are skyline specialists but there's no similarity between the models that makes their experience any more valuable than a normal mechanic.

Personally I'd make the trip to Litchfield. I work in Bushey so have made that exact journey on a number of occasions.

Reasons I suggest this is because the drive itself is fun, the facilities there were good before but soon will be exceptional, and also it's like going to a cool toy shop. Only downside is it's difficult to avoid buying toys.

Point well made, and duly noted.

Thanks.

If you're not looking a Litchfield, I'd give SRD a call, they're in Crawley, West Sussex. Great bunch of guys.

Rainman, whilst like others from NW M25 I also endure the Litchfield trip, Kaizer motors are a about an hour closer for Watford. I believe Sly has a good rep and they can deal with Litchfield bits too.

That was my thoughts exactly.

I've spoken to Abbey previously when I had my 350Z and 370Z but in all honesty they're not exactly local either, in which case I might as well go to Kaizer as they're not much further but in the opposite direction around the M25.

I know this sounds a little mental, but I'm actually really miffed that the NHPC which is about 10 miles away and allegedly serving the London area can't get it's act together. Since this MY2010 had under 1000 miles on it when I collected it I had planned to try and keep it in the NHPC network, but Nissan have seen to it that it's not going to happen.

I really don't want to start taking days off work to get stuff done half-way across the country as it costs me so much in lost income, but it looks like that's how it has to be.

I agree with Adam and Oldbob.. Im also in the same area as you and go through the litchfield trip lol :) But if its just servicing your after your honestly best off shooting down to Kaizer Motors.. He does a top job and wont take very long too.. Have never been to the others suggested but have heard good things about auto torque and Whiffbitz

And you should be glad that the wlmg near you lost its NHPC status as they were not doing a good job lol..
Nissan london west looks good though, they have a dedicated GTR section in their garage and seem very committed to satisfy GTR owners in the area..

When was the last time you had direct experience of them? I'm going to guess that it's not been any time within the last 3 weeks.

At NLW I tried for a whole week and made no less than 8 phone calls, all of which I was hold for ages until I was eventually just cut off, so if you count the times I called back immediately and left a message instead then it's actually more than 8. I eventually managed to speak to Gilles through nothing more than dogged persistence and only once venting my spleen at the very first person that actually answered the phone. Every time you mentioned with letters G, T and R to them they went into a panic and said "oh I'm afraid only Gilles can deal with them" and they just wanted to get your off their phone and passed over to him but without any thought that your call actually made it through to him, which of course it never did until the 9th attempt.

However, I needed to cancel the appointment and started trying to call them three days before the due date, but once again I just couldn't get through and eventually I just thought "[email protected]&£ them, if they can't even answer a phone after the umpteen time then I'm certainly not obligated to give them fair notice that I'm not coming". Their web call-back app doesn't work, I've made a complaint about them directly to Nissan UK, and since they STILL haven't called me once and so I have to conclude that since I have wasted so much time on the phone that they are a shower of #### and it will be a cold day in hell before I put a penny their way. :flame:

As I understand it NLW is not a franchised dealer but is Nissan UK owned and operated. If Nissan were even vaguely serious about keeping their GT-R customers within the NHPC network after their warranty has expired then operating their flag-ship London GT-R dealership in this way is exactly the wrong way to do it.

Nice that they can afford prioritise promotional events instead of looking after customers with a real and pressing need. I wish I could afford to run my business that way. Tbh that just grinds my gears even more so.

We have a branch in Crews Hill which is right on the border of Hertfordshire, so might be very close to you. We've got extensive knowlodge on the GTR, built our own demonstrator and countless other GTR's. Give me a shout if you need anything.

Thanks
