Hi,

So i bought an project R32 GT-R with these new turbos (GT2860R-5). Are these really bad to run on a stock engine? I have the old HKS GT25 also, but would need to send them in for a rebuild if i want them instead and the sell these GT28-5.
Could i run GT28-5 on a stock engine and an aftermarket ecu? Or wouldnt you recommend this?

Won't be a problem. They will just be a bit laggy due to the longer gears on a 32. The top end power is great though. Also I'd suggest keeping stock cams. Big lumpy aftermarket cams will make the lag even worse. HKS 2530's are even bigger, so it'll be a trade off between power and lag once again.

okey, thanks. I will try these GT28-5 Garrett turbos, but i probably end up replacing the fuel pump which is a good idea anyway. I still got the stock fuel injectors which i have sent in for overhaul and service. Hopefully i could stick with those, but i belive i will need to replace them also since i will need to go more kw/hp for these -5 bigger turbo to work.
