Yes people its time to start getting yourselves in gear as the 'Festive' season is almost upon us once more & its not as far away as you think it is people So set a date in your diaries "NOW" as the official party season began two weeks before this event Last year we also included the AGM but as we've already had it for this year we'll just cut to the chase & P.A.R.T.Y :clap:

Now please remember that this is not the usual GTROC London Meet that your use to as for once this event is about the people, not the cars! Initially we have the area of the premises by the stage which will be closed off at first from the rest of the general public. However after a few hours which will be feeding time it will be opened up with the rest of the public. Entry to the private area will be via your GTROC Membership Card or if you have PM'd me first so I can email you a PASS.

The car park will not be exclusively for us as GTROC on this occasion either, but as we said before this is a party, not a meet. However if you do bring your Skyline or GTR we don't anticipate any problems & as per usual there are plenty of systems in place to keep an eye on things.

Arranging food is a 'mare', end of! However as we have the first few hours to ourselves this will be time that we feed! They do a superb Christmas dinner & desert with all the trimmings but this needed to be pre-ordered last year, so with this in mind until I receive further details if your interested add your name to the list below. The standard menu will be available as well for those of you who retch at the thought of a 'Festive' meal :chuckle:

I'm also arranging (fingers crossed :nervous: ) for a band for the night if all goes well. However more information on this event will be posted over the next few weeks which I will post to this thread so please check back regularly :thumbsup:

Now I do need to give the management there approximate numbers for the evening, so please only place your name & the number of people your bringing below "IF" you can attend. If your unsure currently or you can't then DO NOT ADD YOUR NAME :chuckle:


* Normal GTROC London Meet rules apply.
* No dress code - that will keep Suzy happy
* No drinking & driving ... the MET are regular visitors to the place & there are loads of overt & covert CCTV in & the around the area too.

Quick question, im a veggie:runaway: (dont moan), will there be anything to eat for me (no christmas carrot jokes please). The mrs on the other hand will eat anything so she is easily pleased.

Well Bugs ... there's the :

* The salad garnish that no one else eats ...
* The vegetables that other people don't finish ...
* The 'festive' lettuce sandwich ... (tinsel round the plate)
* Grilled parsnip ...
* Hell, any grilled vegetable except carrot ...
* 'Festive' mushroom or quorn (tinsel round the plate) ...
* A cool water sandwich (see Blues Brothers) ...

But do remember if they run out of tinsel then they may use a holy as a 'festive' garnish ... BUT DON'T EAT IT as its bad for you

On a serious note though fella, yes they do cater for the herbivores amongst us :thumbsup:

Good lady and i are likely to be there. Simpletons question: is the "STUFFING" List only if you want Roast Turkey and trimmings or if we want to eat at all?

I currently means eating at all, so I can give them an idea of how many will be so they can sort things out kitchen wise.

Currently the ACE & I are finalising the evenings entertainment but then I'll ask them about specific Christmas menus & if they need prior notice etc. so keep an eye on this thread.

would it be possible to find out if they can cater for gluten free? im ceoliac so makes this sort of event quite difficult for me. im sorry for the inconvienience.

Menu's are set & apart from the usual "suitable for vegetarians" or "may contain nuts" on their menus that's about as far as the menu extends.

Unfortunately for people such as yourself with further challenges its normally down to the individual to choose what they can & can't from the options available.

However call them & see if they can arrange something as they are providing the food not us!

ok thanks, appreciate you guys arent supplying the food, but wasnt sure who to ask as your point of contact. unfortunately with gluten free its not as easy as picking and choosing from a menu as glutens in most things such as gravy, glazes, soups etc etc and is hidden as msg in alot of products.

ive dropped them a email, i shouldnt be too difficult to cater for can eat meat, veg and salads providing theres no sausces or dressings, hopefully theyll be able to sort something out. I have asked them for a menu and allergy advice so fingers crossed.
