GTROC Tour of the Prodrive facility Sunday 13th April.

Prodrive have organised an exclusive non-public tour of the factory and WRC and Aston Martin Racing facilities and more.. The day is not open to the general public but is specifically for the GTROC members, GTR register Forum Members and our guests, which will include an invite to our friends in the Mitsubishi Lancer Register

Many of you will have seen the Prodrive Factory on the left as you drive north along the M40 an now we have a chance to visit and have a guided our the facility by Jackie Irwin from Prodrive

Prodrive is one of the world's leading motorsport businesses. For more than 29 years, they have been running race and rallying programmes for some of the biggest names in the sport, including Aston Martin, Subaru, Ford, Porsche, Honda, BMW and MINI. At the same time we provide race and rally cars for private teams.

We will be given a guided tour of the factory and access to the Prodrive heritage museum.

This is a charity day authorised by Prodrive founder David Richards and all proceeds from the day will go to help raise money for specialist spinal injury rehabilitation equipment. This equipment will help ex-Prodrive rally co-driver Chris Wood to recover some movement following a spinal injury that has left him seriously disabled.

The day will run from 11:00am where we will meet at ProDrive and the tour will last approx. 4 hours although we can spend longer in the Heritage Museum

There is a suggested minimum donation of £30.00 per adult tour attendee for the day including refreshments, and the tour can accommodate up to around 50 persons.

Children under 16 in a paid entrants car come in for free, the day is about raising cash to help spinal injury recovery so the more we can raise the better, there is a suggested donation of 30.00GBP per adult in line with the cost to the public.

We'll open up a shop item shortly on the GTROC.org site.

Just did a tour there with a friend of mine a few days ago. Heard the GTROC was going to be there, very well worth the trip, Jackie was our tour guide and she was great, knew her stuff and was a real Motorsport enthusiast!

Since I've been already how can I donate minus the tour?

Jackie Irwin is our tour guide. By her own admission Jackie is a petrol head and is giving up her own time to show us around and is really excited to have us there.

Oh, I appear to be down for a meet on a thread previously unsubscribed.

Malc, the wine must have been flowing at The Ace on Saturday Nite.:chuckle:

Yup, I'll be there but it's too "engineering" for Maureen. See you there and I'll pay tomorrow.:)
