I have an R32 GTR - with R33 GTR front Brembos.
It has dba5000 discs and when I bought her 2 months ago - the brake pads were shot and braking was hard work on the drive home.
I put a new set of Ferodo ds2500 in and the brakes improved 'VERY' slightly!!!
there is minor heat cracking on the discs (only like hairline marks - looks like a dry desert floor) a specialist told me these discs are invinsible but another said to change them)
I've just ordered some dba4000 discs ( as I wont be tracking her like the previous owner) and was told to order R32 discs.
They have come and cost me £300 - tried to fit them last night and they are too small - fit on the hubs fine but the pads are way out - only covers the outer inch or so of the disc.:bawling:
Does this mean ~I need R33 discs and if so will the fit the hubs???????
Will this solve the problem of poor braking - and when I say poor I mean - It feels like I'm trying to stop the car with bread for pads and goldfish for discs!!!) no good as I'm running 6oobhp.

Help - I'm good with alot of stuff but breaking isn't one of them....

reply or even call if you have some pearls of wisdom or if I'm missing something obvious.

Cheers
Dom

Yes the R33 disks will fit without any problems.

....Will it solve your braking woes? Probably not.

1, I would start with a complete fluid flush.
2, Bed the pads in correctly on the new disks.
3, Check/replace the brake hoses
4, Check the seals on the brake master cylinder and booster.

I heard a lot of stuff about EBC.. In the End, it's all up to personal taste.

I'd do what Sub Boy suggests and I'd further suggest that someone knowledgable does work on the Brakes. This is not a thing for Noobs. Look and learn from a pro and attempt it yourself the next time. Don't play with your life.
