I decided to remove and clean the AAC valve today; going the whole hog and removing the plunger and spring etc. I carefully chipped the epoxy stuff away from the brown plastic cap and gently unscrewed it, but after less than one full turn the cap is disintegrating 
I also daren't try and re-tighten it in case the whole thing falls to pieces. Does anyone know what size that thread is, and if a replacement screw or some such can be used to replace that cap???
