Help Guys!

There's fluid all under my car,

Power steering has gone and a droning noise sounds when I turn the wheel,

I guess a hose has come loose or split but where do I look to fill the fluid?

AAs on it's way so need an answer quick

Help!

The resevoir is black and on the turbo side under the bonnet.

DONT RUN THE PUMP WITH NO FLUID, IT WILL SEIZE UP.

When I lost all my oil, it was the return pipe from the rack where it goes onto the resevoir. The AA man 'should' be able to locate it fairly quickly. However, a replacement pipe could take a few days to arrive if there is a split and its not simply blown off.

As you fill it up, turn the steering from lock to lock, this self primes the system. There is a dipstick on the cap of the resevoir so you shouldn't over fill it. I think there are 2 level marks. One is hot and the other is cold.

Turns out the hose for the power steering next to one of the air-con pipes had rubbed through,

Hopefully it'll get fixed tomorrow, fingers crossed

Pump hadn't siezed which is a good thing

Thanks again Andy for all your help

Well, she's had her niggles I can't deny that, part of the fun I guess (in a wierd way)

AA guy reckoned I could either get it trailered or cut the power steering pump belt and get a new one at the garage

I'll see if the garage have the right size spare and cut the power to the pump, It's only a few hundred metres to the garage from my house seems silly to trailer it for that
