SO - all of a sudden after my R33 DTR going for a tune up - my rev counter
starts at Zero and moves like a clock - ie slowly moving each little notch (about 200 revs) every 20 seconds or so!
So like after 2 mins its at 1000rpm, 4 mins at 2000rpm, 6 mins at 3000rpm.

Car runs fine (ish) need a o2 sensor...And revs fine!

When the needle reaches 3500rpm it bounces back to life and revs up
and down and all is well!

Help..................

It's because you have too much L.S.D. in your car. :chairshot myself.
Sorry, but maybe a bad earthing link which make that static electricity is accumulating somewhere, I know it can interfere sensors signals.

I would add that :
"Switch off your GSM when you get in your car." (static electricity)
"Is your rev counter stock or after-market part ?"

speedo

Speedo is stock GTR.
Will try no mobile phone - but it defo looks like a glitch.

Will take my clocks out later to check connections.

The needle now moves up to 7200 rpm (very slowly) and stays there! although it drives normal
