Hi guys, i was looking for some help!

I have been in the process of rebuilding my engine on my r32 gtr.

I opted for the 86.5mm cp pistons with 9.0 compresson.

My block was standard and i had it decked taking off 0.1mm. I also was forced to replace my head and the new ones seem to already have had a skim too.

I have a tomei 1.2mm head gasket.

Im a little concerned that the valve to piston clearance wont be enough, could anyone help me out here?! Any help would be much appreciated!!

Dry build your engine, poke a finger through the spark plug hole, rotate engine until your finger is crushed between the piston crown and the valve face. Measure crushed finger to find clearance.

Do this but put a layer of blue tack on the piston, rotate the engine a few times, take the head off and measure the thickness of blue tack. This will then give you the exact clearance

Great, ill do that, and what would be a safe valve to piston clearance counting for thermal expansion etc?
