want to run a set of high imp. inj on my rb26 with power fc. do i need to just unplug the resistor pack from the harness?

No, you will have to bypass the resistor pack, as it is installed in series with each injector.

Should re-map after changing to High impedance even if you use same flow size as the ones you are taking out.

The resistor pack (RP) is the shiny metal box mounted on the drivers side front suspension turret, locate that first.

There is a large power wire (+ve feed - colour I can't remember but think white with red stripe, or light grey) coming into the RP, from there the power splits and goes through each resistor, then out the RP to each individual injector.

All you have to do is connect the 6 output wires straight to the single (thick - plug pin 3) input wire. This is the simplest method. A more permanent method would be to cut back the RP wiring to the firewall, and then splice in new injector feeds. Cuts wiring length down for neatness.
