Hi everyone,

It’s my first post so just wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Jack, I am currently based in Aberdeen and I am looking for my first GT-R

Few of my previously owned cars: Ford RS2000, Clio 200 Cup and EVO IX FQ360. All great cars but after GT-R experience at Silverstone last year and a few test drives in Edinburgh (Alex F Noble) I finally decided to take the plunge and get one ASAP

I am looking for low mileage MY11 model after facelift finished in white or grey.
Anyone knows anybody selling, please let me know. Cash is waiting.

Planning to do few track days and Spa/ring trip this year.

Ohh and I just bought full membership :smokin:

Hey Jack welcome to the forum and good luck with your quest I. Finding the write car. This place is great source of knowledge and everyone is pretty approachable.

My car was originally from Noble although it now lives in London ha, small world!

Whatever you choose and if it's private there's some good threads on here about what to look for, most of its commons sense but definitely consider an independent inspection by RAC or similar for total piece of mind.

Good luck buddy

Thanks, I would like to get inspection done by Litchfield along with Stage 1 upgrade.

I have found one last week, My11, DMG with 12k miles and brand new tyres but it is from Isle of Man. I have no experience importing cars but as far as I know it was originally registered in Uk and exported to IOM over a year ago. Has anyone got any advice?

I will ll keep my eyes open

The car I bought was through Middlehurst and that was from the isle of man. New tyres is a good thing, what about brakes?

It just needed UK number plates etc.

Cant recommend Iain enough Jack. Great guy and very helpful, if you ever need help logging or anything give us a shout. Ive got an ecutek cable here.

I bought a 09 plate a few weeks ago and have had a lot of fun already, it's ace. I had a 2011 370Z previously, which I'd imagine would be similar ish performance to your FQ360? I wondered how much faster the GT-R it would be, and it's huge in terms of acceleration alone, never mind the handling. Much fun! And of course it does attract a lot of staring.

370z to me was a huge dissappointment.

FQ360 0-60 is about 4s. 370z is 5s. That's a big difference.

The GTR feels like a massive step up from the FQ360, and mine was running 420hp lol

My Evo IX was running approx. 400hp and honestly, I could not believe the difference when I did the GT-R experience, even though it was 2010 model. It did indeed felt like massive step up from Evo, Ja5on

Guys, There is one white MY11 GT-R for sale at Autotrader with just 13.5k. Looks very nice and it is listed at 52.950
Does anyone know this car? I cannot post links unfortunately
My concern is that it is a private sale. On the other hand it is still under warranty. I could possibly take it to specialist for an inspection prior to purchase?
I would appreciate any comments

This one?

Nissan Gt-R 3.8 [530] 2dr Auto

Looks OK. Obviously need it checked first as a private buy somewhere that knows the GT-R.

Price seems sensible.
11 plates are about £49-50k and this is a 61 plate.

Obviously needs to have good brakes and tyres.

Yeah it is

Thanks Richard

Will discuss with the owner brakes and tyres and as mentioned before would take it for an inspection first.

just got email back from the owner regarding tyres and brakes.

Brakes are still original ad tyres where replaced 4000 miles ago. Michelin Super Sport and they are approx.. 5mm

I also got some pics and car looks stunning, wheels unmarked and never been refurbished

Depending on when you'd change them tyres have got a fair bit of life left in them then.
Brakes could be close (if tracked) or have loads left on them, depending on how it's been driven.
But from your description it doesn't sound like it's had a hard life.

Still got warranty too, which is good. Early MY11 cars will soon run out of warranty.

I say agree a price subject to everything being OK and then get it inspected.

Got phone call on Friday from Chris (Middlehurst Motorsport), that they took in low mileage white MY11 GT-R. That***8217;s what I was looking for last few months.

Recently, I have missed few good occasions to purchase one due to my location and not being able to view the car soon enough, so I put deposit down straight away. I also managed to negotiate good price and Stage 1 included in the sale which made me even more excited. It had Y-Pipe already installed but still.... it is good opportunity in my eyes.

Anyway, I saw few pictures so far. Car is still under warranty and I just hope the car is as described and I will not be disappointed and.

Hopefully I can pick it up within few weeks and then drive 350 miles home
