Hi all,

Not sure if this has been covered before, and I have found nothing in searches, but I am after information regarding the differences between the 3 HKS stroker cranks. I know that the Step 3 is a billet item, but what are the differences between the step 1 and 2? Anyone have pics?

Long and short of it is: I diagnosed an initial bearing knock on a test run after tuning and towed the car to a certain workshop for a basic rebuild. Engine was perfect otherwise. A month later I was told that "conrod had let go". So I took it elsewhere and we found that it wouldn't even turn over. When we pulled it apart (at another workshop) that is what we found.

Looks like the owner of first workshop decided to thrash (ie drive hard) the engine in his "diagnosis". Engine virtually destroyed.

Absolute imbecile.

A little off topic but on the HKS website i cannot find an option with the 2.8 stoekrs for oil cooled pistons. For those of you who have these kits were you ever given the option when purchasing them?
