I've done a bit of searching on HKS silent hi power exhausts as i was considering getting one and found a few saying they're restrictive.

Looking at the stats from hks it has a 95mm internal diameter which is 3.74 inch which I can't see how that's restrictive as surely a system of that size would be good for massive power?

Thanks.

not getting in to that lol.

design is a design.

its Ok but if you going for more than that, then id go some where else.

(which is what i did for current 32 build)

also depends on turbine outlets, front pipe etc

Dan , what front pipes elbows etc were you running

sports cat? etc?

most of the HKS mufflers are designed for around 600-650ps

if your talking of 800ps then your in a different set up

pay your money take you choices

HKS exhaust quality is questionable TBH as well.

680 bhp was a greddy down pipe no cat and single turbo, 800bhp was custom 3.5 inch down pipe no cat no mid box.

Nothing wrong with any HKS I've seen apart from rusty mild steel Super Drager's.

I have the 100mm HKS Ti Race on mine with an extra Borla mid box. Lovely bit of kit, and having a main pipe in stainless had none of the crushing problems of thin walled titanium on a road car.

I ran over 600 with mine.
Exhausts get progressively less efficient the more you blow through it. There is no reason you can get 1000hp though it, it might just cost you 200 over a less restrictive system.

I changed over to a Silent Hi power on my car, which was supplied by New Era with a Krank exhaust and a dyno sheet showing 502 at the wheels (600-ish at the flywheel) at 1.2 bar. After changing the exhaust I notice absolutely no difference in performance. I also must say the quality is much better than the Krank exhaust that came on the car, which had to be replaced due to multiple holes. I absolutely love the HKS exhaust... It make the car livable. The only downside is how low it hangs so you won't be able to ever fit a diffuser.

Several of us in Western Australia have gone beyond 700HP @ the WHEELS (not your BHP guessing..) with these exhausts.

I have gone 710whp with a built 2.6 with a PTE6466 Gen2

I know of another who has gone 740whp with a built 2.8 and same turbo

Recently another has got just shy of 800whp with a 2.8 and PTE6870
