I was just wondering if I was doing it right?

I grabbed it with my right hand, and move it into a position where I can see out the rear screen.

Im not sure Ive done it right?

Instead of using my hand, should I have dropped my trousers, and used my barse to put it in place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and just in case this thread gets locked on this overly moderated forum, please feel free to start another thread

You need to wear a dust-proof suit, latex rubber gloves and sit astride the transmission tunnel.
In this position, place an infrared beam through the central reference plane of the car and adjust the mirror using a reference formula of the distance from the drivers head to the offside window.

Adjust the wing mirrors whilst sitting on the doors*
*Windows must be down.

You can replace this with a non-run flat mirror, but I would not recommend it.

There's a button on the rear view mirror, press and hold that button for 3 seconds and then press it 3 times within 3 seconds. Then fold the wing mirrors in, out, in and out again, press the start button 3 times without your foot off the brake and finally start the engine. This should then automatically set the rear view mirror for you. HTH.
