Since we got these new Carbon Gear Surrounds, we thought we'd better inform customers how the gear knob is removed in order to install the carbon surround.

We tried to get advise from Nissan, but couldnt wait for there reply so decided to have a go ourselves on our own GTR.

On our website, there is a simple step by step guide and also a short video clip to guide you. Doing this incorrectly can risk scratching and breaking something.

Does this actually REPLACE the silver plastic trim or just clip over the top of it?

very interested in this part, but can you tell me why there is a small piece missing on the top right hand side of this carbon surround?

Its the emergency access to the locking mechanism for the shifter, the manual has info about it

Oh yes, sorry, i was rushing myself with the camera and forgot to re-fit the small cover back over this cut out. That is a standard part, which you should already have on your gear surround.
