Hi all, i have purchased this thinking it was a GRID DANCER but it seems people have not seen this modle before.

It has been suggested its not a GRID DANCER but a GRID Diff control unit?

What does a diff control unit do?

Who knows what this is?

Sounds like a torque split controller - so you can divert the power in combinations between 50/50 front/rear and 100% rear.

ye i think it is a grid dancer but confused as the thing dont seem to exsist!

Plus the guy i brought it off had it working on his car i think.

Needs some wiring diagrames for it tho. The colours of the wires are different to the grid dancer wires.

So does that mean that this wont do what a grid dancers does? I.e allow me to burn out in rwd mode and then switch to 50/50 split for launching the car?

Or will the unit still do that?

The skylab is no good for drag racing as is a cornering aid not a torque split controller like the grid dancer, so this wont do what i want it to then?

Can someone confirm if this can be used to make the car full rwd on a drag strip and also 50/50 split on a launch please, or is only for cornering?

No, I'm 99.99% sure it can't set the torque.

Now the picture is up it makes more sense.
The "Dancer" is called A "GRID T.S. Dancer" and looks like this on RHDJapan:

As you can see, the settings are very different.

I'm guessing that your one is for the HICAS rather than the ATTESSA system.

I'd resort to one of my old mottos : if in doubt - don't **** about.

you have a picture of a TS dancer and a grid dancer there. The ts dancer is no longer avilable!

Im all clued up after tonights endless searching! LOL.
