Hi,

I'm new to this forum and not overly familiar with Skylines. I run a car sales business in West Sussex and often have interesting cars for sale (Lotus Carlton, TVR Cerbera Speed Six, Merc C43, Escort Cossie in present stock). Details are patchy at the moment, but it looks like we have a customer coming in at the end of the week with what they claim to be is a Janspeed built car with 550BHP (taken with a pinch of salt). An HPI check reveals the car was registered in the UK in May 1991 so it has been here pretty much form new. Original registration no. was H??? YYU and it is now on H? P?D. The car is metallic grey. As an enthusiast car dealer, I'm interested in looking at the car and could well have it in my possession by the end of the week. I assume that it could be well known in Skyline circles ? Can anyone shed any light about this particular car or indeed any specials built by Janspeed.

Many thanks, Meridian

Luke and Andre,

I,ve now worked out how to access private messaging and have read both of your posts !

Many thanks indeed. Your comments will have a significant effect on how I will perhaps progress with this deal.

Any other comments very welcome.

Cheers, Meridian

Meridian,

A search using the phrase 'Janspeed' (the button is in the top right corner of screen), might prove productive.

As general advice for any potential purchaser, if you are proposing to purchase the vehicle, then I suggest it is inspected by a Skyline specialist to establish specification and history and if the valuation is based on a claimed power level, then this should be verified on a dyno.

Janspeed did indeed import several R32s.

There are at least two threads in the Private / For Sale section.
Last but not least, whatever you do, judge for yourself. :smokin:

Andre,

Actually 10 threads (I think).........

Agreed, the most important thing is to view the car, validate any claims and then decide yourself.

Everyone,

I've located all threads concerned and naturally all further decisions will be based upon them!

Good forum by the way and I'd be a happy regular if I had a Skyline !

Thanks to all
