I have owned my latest GTR for nearly 2 months now.

Although I have only really had access to her and the keys for a couple of weeks in total, due to experiencing problems with her since purchase - thanks to the frustrating cowboy type antics of the previous owners.

I was determined to take her down the strip to see how well she performed after having been properly repaired and fully setup by TR Racing.

Here are the videos of my 4 runs down the 1/4 mile drag strip there.
Second and third runs being the best of the four.

Best ET was 12.3644.
Best MPH was 118.70.

YouTube - 1st Run - Santa Pod - Jap Show Finale 2009 - Wide Arch (HKS/OSG/ORC) Nissan Skyline R32 GTR - tame launch without launch control

YouTube - 2nd Run - Santa Pod - Jap Show Finale 2009 - Wide Arch (HKS/OSG/ORC) Nissan Skyline R32 GTR - hard-ish launch with launch control

YouTube - 3rd Run - Santa Pod - Jap Show Finale 2009 - Wide Arch (HKS/OSG/ORC) Nissan Skyline R32 GTR - hard-ish launch with launch control

YouTube - 4th Run - Santa Pod - Jap Show Finale 2009 - Wide Arch (HKS/OSG/ORC) Nissan Skyline R32 GTR - relaxed launch without launch control

What do you guys think?

Even though I am now sadly £4,500 lighter than I expected or wanted to be when I initially purchased the car. I can safely say that since picking her up from TR Racing... TR Racing and the GTR have managed to put a smile back to my face.

I was aiming for runs somewhere in the 11's, but with a bit of practice I should be seeing 11 second runs.

Cheers

Yeah, that's me mate!

I wasn't looking for an R32 to be honest. However, this R32 jumped right out at me and bit me hard when I was looking for a new GTR, know exactly what you mean.

thats one hell of a spec for a mid 12 :S

Should get a lot quicker once you get the hang of the launches, or was it running quite low boost
I think a lot of it is relating to the fact that she isn't exactly a "light weight" GTR R32 - not stripped out at all, running full trim and weight plus the wide arch kit. Even the air con is still present.

Also running 19" wheels and road tyres.

Boost is set to 1.5bar, but peaks out at 1.7bar temporarily before it settles down.

I think the head winds at Santa Pod were quite strong on the Sunday as well.

I will be getting to another drag day before the year becomes a total wash out and will be happy if I can make it into the 11's.

I could also do with getting her dyno'd... if only I could find a 4WD dyno in my area.
