I’m about to order some ‘self-cleaning’ platinum tipped lambda (oxygen) sensors.

I need to know what type of lambda sensors are used on the RB26DETT engine i.e. the number of wires on the 2 that are located on the exhaust manifolds (I think they’re 3 wire).

I know that the 1 on the cat has only 1 wire.

Paul.

PS many happy returns to Peter E (only 46 still got lot more skylining years left in you mate ;) ).

lambdas

the 2 lambdas have 3 wires in each and the sensor in the cat
is only a warning for if the cat over heats.

if it helps i have a pair of good s/h ones

Charlie,

I took my car to a Nismo specialist on Sunday, we compared the JC.Whitney with Nismo platinum sensors and they are identical other than the connectors at the end of the wires are missing from the JC whitney type.

My car is having a load of over work done at the same time so it’ll be difficult to know what difference they’ll make.

Hope this helps.

Paul.
