Ffs I really like that car but hate these comps. Good memories winning the 2018 gtrdc runway day sprint in it. No choice but to enter.

No idea. Was Dissapointed when I heard it had sold. At the time iain let me take it for a test drive and other than the gear change levers being attached to the steering wheel I loved it.

Why ? Someone will get that car for a fiver
I hate any "competition" or "raffle" where the prize is a desirable, available thing instead of cash.
If someone just put up a website offering a £70,000 cash prize at £5 a pop you wouldn't look twice. Sod the odds, go buy a scratchcard or whatever.
But people get blinded by the "want" to consider the actual terms of the deal.

If it was for a one off, money can't buy thing, then great. Gives everyone a fair chance to win something you couldn't buy even if you wanted to. But a modified GTR, two a penny and IF you won £70k tomorrow, would you really go out and buy one of these? Doubtful.

Just my opinion, just think it's stupid

When people enter this thing, I wonder if they consider the running costs ? I see it says insured and services for a year, but not taxed. What if someone who's 18 wins one of these cars ? Will they still insure it then ?

And after the first year, then what ? How many people that enter and win will actually be able to afford the not inconsiderable running costs associated with any of the cars they have available ?

And I all see they used to be the annoying fuckers you used to get in airports.

My Facebook feed is jammed with this nonsense and it’s doing my head in. Loads of different tuned ‘desirable’ cars. It is without doubt just playing to people’s dreams. Most will drive it for a month tops then flog it because they’re not in a financial position to have a 50 grand car and will prefer the cash. Stupid!

It's sharp practice, they make it seem like a raffle or lottery. In effect its worse than a game of casino. It's not even clear from the terms what the odds are.

Someone is effectively selling cars at a huge markup compared to the cash price and more than that it's completely open to abuse.

At least when you go to the casino or play the lottery the terms are clear and chance of winning published.

No way this should be legal.

Just to make it clear, its not that track edition that's the prize as that car is mine ;) The best of the best competition prize is a brand new track edition as far as I know.
