Is there a permanent live feed in the boot and if so, would you need to disconnect the battery before splicing into it?

The wiring that comes from the bottom right behind the boot cover and then splits feeds to the spoiler one way and boot lock the other I would have though must have a permanent feed for the solenoid.

If you undo the boot cover clips which will take a matter of moments should find out with a multi-meter in no time to confirm. If it has a live, disconnect the block and take a feed from the lock side when the block is unplugged it's irrelevant then whether the battery is connected or not as you've disconnected that block. Then just plug back in after.

Any idea if it would run an appliance using 35 watts? Or would I be better running a lead direct from the battery?
