So I’m planning to swap my wheels but noticed the car is fitted with locking wheel nuts. It’s pretty unusual in japan as generally little or no theft….

I wasn’t given the nut when I bought the car, the dealer is claiming he doesn’t have it and it a generic key, OK… again it’s a maybe as this is japan - it’s possible that all locking wheel nuts in japan are standard?

Any advice how to get this off?

Smash the collar off and use a generic locking wheel nut remover

Drill the middle out and usr a reverse thread or broken head bolt remover

Try a generic ‘multikey’ style locking nut key.

Look for a matching pattern key online, easier if you know the brand

Weld a nut to it and spin it off.

They're not hard to get off most the time its to make it difficult to do at the side of the road, most shops in the UK could get them off sure they can in japan too.

The real skill is not smashing the wheel up whilst you’re doing it

If that’s a mcguard locking wheel nut then I can remove them and the dealer

Amazing!! Little did I know there’s a tool kit in the passenger footwell under the Flor mat and inside is… a locking wheel nut key! Thank you so much for this

There should be. Wheel brace as well but no Jack unless somebody has bought one as an extra.
