Hi Guys

Long time GTR fan, have owned 3x R32 GTR's (still have a 93 vspec) and a 33 GTR, looking to get into a R35 GTR. Thought I would come on here and ask peoples general advice, what to look out for, where the sweet spot is (I am thinking about a 2015/16 or so?), issues, reputable shops to use for inspections perhaps etc.

I live in London for what its worth.

Would love the advice from the people in the know! What do you wish you knew before you bought your GTR?

Thanks,
Ian

If you post your budget then people may point you in the right direction with cars currently on the market.

Theres a handful of Gtr specialists around but any decent mechanic can spanner a Nissan. I do many of the jobs at home and the only thing I could’nt do was code a Spare key.

Howdy

I have around a 45k budget :)

I am reasonably mechanically capable - my car history includes other various JDM vehicles, (evo, S15) and even a golf R, and have carried out most of the maintaince myself, but I want to more know the specific weak points of the R35 - I read a lot of ads on autotrader talking about the bellhousing, is this a known problem?

Bellhousings were an issue, but the best current fix is a late 2016 onwards one As it comes with a new damper plate that can’t be bought separately.
