Hello fellow Skyline lovers, i am new to this board and i'm wanting a little help please.

I have had my R32 GT-R for about 4 weeks now and the past couple of days i have noticed something disturbing happening.

Unusual happening no.1 - Crusing at 70km/h in 4th gear the car feels like it is losing power, so i accelerate to maintain the speed, the car starts shunting forward like it was losing then gaining power and i notice when it was doing this that the Front torque gauge jumps to 10. Then it stops and continues as if nothing has happened.....

Unusual happening no.2 - Pull up at the lights the car stalled, i restarted then when the lights turned green i accelerated then the car started misfiring BIGTIME and i couldn't go above 2-3000rpm.

This has happened only in the past couple of days, what could be the problem? are these two problems related? The car has only done 90 000kms, so i don't think it could be wear and tear.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Diagnostic check should answer question. Get a dealer or specialist to run one on your car. Could be an air flow meter fault I think but not sure.

Sounds like an electrical misfire. Having had lots of experience with coil problems in a subaru I would bet on an air meter problem. Coil problems tend to show more on boost, and AFM problems usually affect idle and give the jerking you explained. Run the ECU through a diagnositic check and see if they show up. Sometimes unfortunately they can be on the way out and not show on a diagnositc check. The specialist will then need to run it on a rolling road to trace the cause of the misfire.

You should know that the misfire will put alot of stress through the turbos and if it is not sorted the turbos will eventually break up
