has anyone ever toyed with the idea of running a Skyline on LPG?. I know it can be a bit dodgy on turbo cars, but I know of a few Integrales and so on in Europe running on it. As it's 100 octance I would've thought it would make sense. Any thoughts?.

I have a Jag running LPG.
Simple system.
Installed it myself.
Done nearly 40,000 miles on it now.

The main reason for coverting to LPG is mileage and economy.

Among the reasons for having a skyline are, power and performance. Economy is not usually a major consideration.

With LPG you have 100 octane but lower calorific content when burning.
Compared to petrol you lose 20% economy and 10-15% power, though these things are improving with the new gas injection systems.

Until someone proves me wrong I do not think it would be wise to convert a skyline to lpg.

I think it is mainly a good application to a large engine, hence why it is so popular in Shoguns, Range Rovers etc.
