what MAF is required to suit these power levels on the GTSt - Q45? and what sort of cost.

you can get them second hand forr about £100, Z32 would probably do you too. Try rising sun if you want a new one!

I've got a z32 but was told it would be on it's limit at that sort of power, as much as I would like to go to an F-conV over my PFC I don't think I will have the funds

Ah, not sure then, mine has a z32 and its running over 500BHP

you can run over 450bhp but your have very little control of the fuelling/ignition map.
