He did sell it here and at the lower price, so what are you going on about?
What the thread is about, is Lee bought it from here, and is now flogging it on another site for a couple of grand more... the seller on pistonheads is the buyer from here.

Nothin wrong in flogging somethin for more than you paid for it tho IMHO, thats the way things go sometimes.

leggus is right. Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. Yes the seller bought it here from skyline501 and is now selling it on pistonheads, 2 weeks later. Same car, just £2500 more expensive.

Maybe I'm naive or old fashioned but I don't like it. The guy is just making a cheap ££ by buying and selling it again very fast instead of letting a real enthusiast buy it from here in the first place.

I agree with the sentiment Flint, fantastic car at a fantastic price, it could have been an enthusiasts dream. Unfortunate :(

I actually wondered why "gtr r33 lee" bought it when I saw the original thread, as I thought he already had one.

at the end of the day though you can advertise a car for any price, he might not sell it for that price and might end up shooting him self in the foot if he can not sell it for more than he paid as skylines dont seem to be selling at the mo, especially high priced ones, i should know i've been trying to sell mine for some time now

He could make a grand on it I suppose, depends how much a prospective buyer would try and knock him down.

I guess it boils down to how much your time is worth in the grand scheme of things - I couldn't personally deal with the hassle or stress of buying something like that with the sole intention to sell it on, and have to deal with the legions of tyre kickers, etc. It's bad enough trying to sell a car normally.

This is very true, when you are trying to sell something like that, you have a brigade of wannabee's, test pilots, tyre kickers, and lets face it potential thieves..

Could turn out to be more hassle than its worth.

Going Cheap?

Spot on. I could have faffed about for a few months trying to sell for a couple of grand more, but considering how many are for sale at the moment, I think I did the right deal at the right time at the right price (for me). A sale in 8 hours saved a lot of hassle.

A 90k miler 550 bhp on standard internals. It would be just a matter of time before I'd be facing large bills on a car I wasn't using.

Nearly 6 years of fun and frollicks, thanks to all, time to move on. :wavey:

Hi Vince,

I remember the first time I saw your car (and the last time) and it has to be one of the best examples of a purple R33 I've ever seen. And the rims were just amazing.

Good uck with whatever toy you get next. :)

Stick around though :):bowdown1:

I dont see a thing at all wrong with it...if the guy is willing to risk losing $ I say go for it! It is after all just a piece of equipment...:sadwavey:

....of course the guy that put all the blood, sweat and tears into it doesnt see it that way...but he's already responded and doesnt seem too upset, so what does anyone other than him have to say about anything? He got what he wanted...a quick, hassle free sale!

Just my 2 cents worth!

It's got nothing to do with the seller.
It's the buyer I'm thinking about.
The buyer just wanted to make some fast money which is a shame for the enthusiast for whom this is a super car and at a great price.

I'm on the enthusiast's side, not the money making buy/sell type.

From my observations gtr.co.uk is the only place that GTR's fetch decent money (i.e. £9k plus for R32 and £12k plus for R33), and that's only for the best examples!
If you advertise elsewhere, it's just another advert amongst the many other GTR's out there for sale, especially for R33's.
Skyline501 sold it at a realistic price, the new owner is a dreamer, and is very likely to get his fingers burned.

If some1 can do that then good luck to them its called life but as its been said it could turn around that he cant sell the car for 6-9 months say, its a long time to try and make a couple of grand.

All i can say is if he can do it tho good on him.

What possible stress could there be in selling a car??? ;) :chuckle:
True :) Selling my R34 was quite an experience, I fully expected to have loads of idiots struggling to find the cash or asking me to hold the car forever while they sort out ridiculously huge loans, etc - even despite it being priced to sell. Thanks Porkie :bowdown1:

Hi ppl, maybe i shouild defend myself a bit !!, i bought her on the true intention of keeping her hence why iv changed the oil and filter 4 times in a short period ( done 200 miles at most i think !! ), had the air con serviced, spent £450 at atf power getting her remapped / plugs / additional lamda and getting her sorted etc, BUT, my divorce is getting really really nasty, cant see my kids, she wants me to sign statements so i never see my kids again, got to go court, she wants every penny, i came back to my original house and was trashed, she left my dog outside with no water for 3 days in hot weather and I had to answer to the rspca, i dont want to have to see her but like iv said in the adds its the most regretfull sales iv ever had to do, iv got to fight my case etc in the courts, car has to go, yes the price has inflated slightly, i am a dealer, i wouldnt go and take the pi$$ and stick her back on here allthough she has been my personal car, i belive vince undersold her giving the detail vince has put into her, really amazing, i dont think i fully appreciated what i bought when i handed over my ££, but driving her and having a good look the next day i was gob smacked at the attention to detail, something you dont allways see straight away, hope this clears things up, cheers guys, Lee.

Hi Lee,

I fully appreciate where you're coming from regarding the matrimonial problems, it's no fun at all. :(

Sorry to hear that you've got to sell the 33, I had a similar situation involving my Cosworth (needed some cash quick)

Good luck for the future.
