my car last weekend at silverstone developed a high idle. it had just been on the dynopack at thor sat. now i spoke to pete and he said it was probably an air leak that had developed as i had given it some at silverstone. checked all the linkages and throttles etc car has done over 1000 miles since rebuild and has hks metal gaskets. sprayed wd40 on gasket pionts no engine change so did a search came up with aac valve. today took it off and cleaned it up. it was slightly oily inside but nothing drastic. when i put it back on unplugged wahey idle bang on at 950. revved it up and it drops to 950 immediately. b4 it rose to 1500 and took about 10 secs if at all to drop..now he lies the querie. if i plug the connector back on it rises to 1500 again and retuns to same as b4. any idea,s guys. is it some setting in the map maybe....any help would be good.bernie.
