I picked my car up a week ago tuesday and immediately dropped it off with Paul Ultimate Shine. A few days later this was the result :D

Just learning how to use the camera i bought, so hope to get some more shots, although with Glasgow weather i can't see the car being this shiny again for a while!!

Please let us know how long that kind of finish lasts - it's bound to be very expensive if you have to do that every couple of weeks!!!
Paul has said it needs his magic every 6 months to keep it looking at it's best. He's said that in 3 years time, he'll still be able to get it looking that good. It's one of those things that is best done at the beginning but can be done down the line too.

FWIW I have foam washer (cheap karcher and foam attachment), 2 buckets, lambswool mit etc, and got the right products and advice from Paul on how to look after it. I don't plan on cleaning it that much to be honest as it's likely that my ham-fisted efforts which will cause most of the damage! Plus i'd rather be driving it! :D

But i'll post pics of how i get on with keeping it looking good myself.

I have the same set of kit too - minus the foamer, though I didn't bother having mine detailed (on advice from a detailing specialist who'd worked on a few R35s), but I do have the added advantage of mine being a SILVER car - it takes at least 2 weeks to get dirty enough to be worth cleaning.

I guess I'd consider having it detailed for the summer next year though - just need to find someone good in the Manchester area.
