Well it all started here after I recieved my car...



So i bought a new longblock from Japan and new turbo's from GTRIO..
The turbo's are Mitsubishi TD-05-16G's internals...stock housings ie..greddy turbo's

I painted the calipers silver and blue

I stripped the paint off the intercooler

-new RBDETT 2.6
-TD-05-16 G turbo's
-Nismo single plate clutch
-HKS bov's
-HKS pods
-Apexi fuel pump
-Samco hoses
-Trust downpipe
-3 greddy 52mm gauges
-Mines ecu
-Splitfire coils
-Fujitsubu 3" exhaust
-18"Adavan SA3's
-Momo GTR gear knob
-all new hoses,belts, yada yada
-new ecu and boost controller to follow after engine break-in

I would like to thank Progressive Motorsport in Victoria for doing all the work.Burton their mechanic is great! :D

Your engine bay looks so beautiful, that silver paint gives it a factory new look.
Have you tried to polish the IC after ripping the colour off?

I never polished the intercooler...just flat aluminum.

It was also my B-day.....My wife gave me the cake!!She's a keeper...haha.

so you lost your first engine from a broken tensioner and idler? Had the missus yelling at me cause I ordered a new set - I'll just have to show her that pic :p

I am usually not a fan of painted RBs but I'd never though of silver. My god, that is beautiful. Was going to repaint the original black with, well, black, but that silver is just stunning. Great engine!

I myself just got back on the road after four months - hadn't thought of refinishing the engine, now I wish I had!

What silver did you use for the cam covers and brakes? Haven't seen heat-proof paint in silver in t'shops :) Just the usual black and red...

Looks ace mate :)

What's the craic with the td05's then? Having just crawled in from the Subaru world, I've got a pair of these lying around, could they be employed?

The turbo's are the Mitsubishi internals TD-05-16 G in the the stock housings.I have yet to really punch them yet but the boost seems to pass 0 on the gauge around 2700 rpm.I'll post dyno pics when the engine is broken in and the boost controller is installed.
