HKS | Nissan GT-R News - GTRBlog.com

HKS Technical Factory in Saitama Japan have been wondering to themselves about the capabilities of the Nissan GT-R SpecV. Not so much in standard form, but with respect to how it responds to light tuning modifications. Quite well it would seem. With the HKS GT600 kit installed, the SpecV’s larger turbos are much happier with high boost than the standard GT-R’s.

This goes doubly so when HKS TF take the SpecV turbos and tweak them for further gains. They’ve made 700ps at the wheels on their own SpecV measured with a Dynapack dyno.

HKS TF plan to develop these turbos and eventually bring them to market with a reasonable price tag.

Isn't this old news?
I think it was the Mines car had both sets of turbos off and it showed a direct comparison, and that was at 3 months ago?

Ok first things first this is not showing the whole story. It needs to show the baseline dyno first. Second the aftermarket turbos already out can do the same thing but cheaper. This is also using gt570kit gt600 kit and larger 830 injectors. The other kits do a better job at cheaper costs imo cause they use real ecu tuning too. They should start showing baselines too cause these dyno's read very high and they don't say if they factor in drivetrain loss which a lot of japanese do to show crank hp not whp. So not everything seems legit. Just like when garage saurus posted 830 hp... That wa clearly misleading when a usa tuner showed more real results.

The images shown the diff between spec v and standard were from garage saurus.
