Demon Dave - correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the earliest model R34 GTRs not come with the MFD?

Nah all R34 GTRs have MFD. The whole point was to save as much weight as possible. With tuning availiable from the ecu and Power FC and being a purpose built race car there was no need for the MFD therfore saving a bunch of weight.
