My contributors' copy dropped through the letterbox today and my second Fast Fleet article has been published which centres around my delivery experience at Middlehurst Motorsport.

It's also a particularly good issue with loads of interesting comparison tests, e.g.
- old Aston Vantage V600 v AMG SL65 Black
- XJ220 v LP640
- Caparo v Caterham Levante
- 205 GTI 1.9 v 500 Abarth EsseEsse
- E30 M3 v E92 M3
etc, etc.

it better be good mate, i've also penned a similar piece

Not withstanding that I have no journalistic talent, I expect Snowfiend is currently coming up with his reasons why it can't be published in Skylines:chuckle:

Hi Razor, yes my first Fast Fleet article was in issue 130, but that was about my Race Academy experience rather than my own car.
It will now be a regular monthly fixture.

I don't know if it will be in the Italian version, but I doubt it, unless other UK Fast Fleet cars are?

Yes, all other UK cars are in it.
I will get my copy of May issue of italian version in few days so i can see if there is (i hope yes).

If there isn't can you send a scan of those articles?

Hi David,

Look forward to more feedback until mine arrives:thumbsup:

Is that right that the car only 17mpg during the running in period:eek:

That's seriously low mpg! Well I suppose a day driving around Bedford Autodrome would have that effect
Are you seriously suggesting that I would risk my "chocolate transmission" and voiding my entire warranty in perpetuity by taking the car on track? :chuckle:

You'll be implying I turned VDC off next... ;)

Was that you Mooki?! Why didn't you come up and say hello?
Your Leyland-mobile was impressive in the corners; my passenger said "That's no ordinary Metro!" as he noticed the roll-cage etc.

Had a very busy day taking people out for p-rides.
Of course it was comfortably the quickest car there, although the fake 993 GT2 was very quick on the straights too. He couldn't quite make the chicane at the end of the main straight though... :chuckle:

that was me baby, didn't you see the GTROC sticker? ;)

Ironically, i never actually saw Yu, only the car lapping. it was immensly quick, although that black mini gave you some trouble, and that Turbo Elise was rapid.

Re: Mookitro, it is an ordinary Metro, bog standard 1.4 16v.

great day, and that rain was a great leveller. The Atom boys were mobile chicanes for half the day ;)

Was that the Z-car rear-engined jobbie? I was actually rather disappointed he was a) not that fast and b) not that sideways!

If you saw me behind him, I was either on a cooling down lap which I always religiously do, or I was unwilling to overtake in a corner (unlike the aforementioned 993 ).

Your car had a lot of grip, probably more per cm of tread than mine!

i had expected that mini to be swapping ends like nobody's business. was a cool car though.

i did notice your cool down laps, or "take advantage" laps as i saw them...still couldn't get close to you:(

lol

when it was wet was great, had no grip at all, had some wicked sideways moments lol then when it dried up, the grip went through the roof, that'll be the A048 softs.. which were awesome, until i had to drive home on them in the pissing rain

lol
