Just though id say a quick hello as im new to the forum..

Going to be on the look out for a modified 12 plate GTR in the next couple of months.

I've seen a couple I like but wont be in a position to buy until my Escort Cosworth is sold.

Cheers

Hi and good hunting!

Oh and Mook, it's not that embarassing to want an R35 mate and you could have tried a less revealing pseudonym ;)

Thanks, I've got a lot of information to find out.

Would you say its best to go with a highly modified 10 plate? Or go for a 12 plate?

Thanks

That's personal preference. If you are going to modify lots then get a modded car from the off. If not then maybe a newer car. The 2011 (my12?) Cars are seen as improved in suspension and gearbox cooling. But if you dont mind a hard ride or arent going to track then it doesnt matter.

There is loads of info on here. If you are serious I would spend several hours searching the forum for info.

Defo a 12 plate if budget allows. Much better all round. I've driven both but can only stretch to an 11 plate at most. Take your time though as there are lots coming up for sale and it's a buyers market. I would avoid the early 09 plates though..

There's bugger all difference between an 11 and a 12 plate/my car.

Jap suspension that's not great on uk roads and a few bhp that you will either not notice or will be irrelevant if either car has been remapped.
