Hi All well what can I say will finally pick up my GTR tomorrow and excited doesn't cover it. Ever since driving one of the original R32's (imported by Middlehurst I think it was) when I was about 20 have always hankered after one. Used to work at a specialist exhaust manufacturer for 20+ years so driven plenty of exotica in my time but you can keep your Porsches, Lambo's, Ferrari's and Aston's never wanted anything other than a GTR of some description. Feel like a kid at xmas not gonna get much sleep tonight......

Get some pics up once you have enough posts. You're not too far from me.
Remember, these are a big heavy missiles, so get used to it and take care especially in this weather and still on Bridgies/Dunlops.
Still remember that butterfly feeling when I went to get mine.

Welcome fella, take it easy out there when you pick it up today. Interested in what exhaust choice you opt for when you decide to change as you've worked in that industry for so long.
Thanks for all the welcomes gents (ladies??) got me a black 63 plate which am very happy with and def gonna be careful. Not sure I'll be doing any power mods for a while but will have to do a y pipe me thinks for a bit more noise.
Might well try my own spec for that as def not a fan of boom and boy do those 4 dustbins I mean exhaust tips cause some boom if your not careful.

Have you picked it up yet Rick? A Milltek Y pipe will make it sound great, although even stock it's loud as **** on full bore, so my mates tell me when I overtake them.
Any chance you could say what the deal was (or pm me pls), it's just that I enquired about a white 13 plate ex demo with 3k miles last week up for 63k, but they obviously didn't want to sell it as offered me 47k for my 15 mnth old car (19.8k miles FNSH) which I thought was a total piss take.

:thumbsup: good deals to be had on 'pre-run in' ones, I got a 13 plate with 800 miles on it. Like new but with a fair old chunk of depreciation off it
Hi Trev not a fab deal. Long story but I actually wanted a 13 plate blue one that is at Perrys Blackburn 65k but they messed around big time for 10 days getting the quotes for finance wrong then told me someone else had bought it. I was fuming so went straight to Westway Manchester had a look at this and went for it. Tried to haggle but he wasn't having any of it pointed out that mine was a 13 model where as all the others which were advertised at less were actually 12 models that Nissan have sold to dealers cheaper hence why they sell them on cheaper. A true 13 plate has red flash's of trim on steering wheel. I had a look on line and he was right all the cheaper ones were just grey wheels.
Am sure someone will probably tell me I've ben suckered and what does it matter as 12 and 13 models are the same anyway but hey I'm happy with the car and the price I paid.
Great thing was Perry's phoned me day after I bought the Westway one asking if I was still interested!!! You can imagine my reply.
Probably more info than you wanted so apologies for that. Good luck on trying to swap for a newer model am sure you will find a more willing dealer. I couldn't recommend Perrys but they did offer a good trade in price on my Discovery 4.
see 'pre run in' sounds so much better.
Depreciation is such a fantastic word when someone else is paying it.
