..re: Miguel at Newera...

I have been talking to Miguel for a couple of months now....He seems like a top bloke, he's hopefully gonna help me to bring over an gtr33 that im hoping will be a bit modded and an rx-7 twin-turbo. :D

I must say that I got alot of positive feedback from people I was talking to at billing last weekend, which has gone a long way about easing my worries about giving a total stranger 10,000 miles away £25,000 without much in the way of a tyre kick !!

I hope this is of help, please post up anything you hear, as this would be of interest to me also.......the only other thing I would say is talk to Dirk at Sumo..or Mark at abbey, they made a lot of sense when i was talking to them about different options.

Good luck.....

James.

I Spoke to Miguel...

...Seemed very clued up on skylines though japanese prices are pretty similar to UK prices for R33's so may not be worthwhile.

A good friend of mine bought a Legacy GT-B from Newera, and it was exactly as described :) He was pleased with the service, the car was actually ready a week before expected...

thats interesting news as i saw a R33 VSPEC they imported the final otr price was £15500 which i thought was cheaper than here, i've also found out who bought it, as it's up for sale again at £19500 it's the very same one in a garage advertised in the autotrader.

I have used newera to take care of shipping my R34 back from Tokyo to the UK. He was a knowledgable guy (plus was driving a white R33 if I remember correctly). I had no complaints. I would just check to see who they are using on the UK end these days.

He personally came over to my place in Tokyo and to help me take all the bits off before they disappear on the boat.

Miguel has sourced many cars for MR2 owners with the MR2DC and IMOC and ive only heard good things about the company and their setup.....they're highly regarded in MR2 circles. The quality of the stock sourced is very high quality from all ive spoken to, with the cars being obtained for the price agreed/promised and in some cases, better spec cars for the same or even less cash than orginally specified.

Best wishes

Dave
