Nissan has registered the names G37, M37 and FX37 hinting that past talk of a 3.7 V6 (up from 3.5) are true. The next generation of Skyline sedan and coupe (Infiniti G) as well as the Fuga (Infiniti M) and high-end SUV (Infiniti FX) will all get the 3.7 L V6. No mention of power but IMO it will be around the 320 PS mark (or over) to rival Toyota's silky smooth direct injection 3.5 L V6. There is no mention if the 350Z will get the larger V6.

Talk of a 3.7 or 3.8 L V6 for the next GT-R begins to make sense now.

3.7 or 3.8 ltr. for just a V6 sounds like it should have decent torque peek, less stressed engine.. In another word sounds like a muscle V6

That make sense, increasing the displacement is really the only way to increase the power from a NA motor now a days, other then direct injection.

Nissan has to do something, the Toyota's direct injection 3.5L V6 in the IS350 feels so much stronger then the VQ35 in the G35!

I hope the motor in the GTR will be BIG, 4.0L would be good, bigger the better, then turn up the boost!

Thank you for sharing that with us Dino :)
